THE MISSION AND MINISTRY OF COMPASSIONATE WOMEN OUTREACH MINISTRY (ORPHANAGE)

Compassionate women outreach ministry is an orphanage center founded by Rev Dr. Mrs. Alzuriel Ononuju. This ministry has two fold businesses; one is on physical, while the other is on spiritual needs. Compassionate women outreach ministry is an orphanage center that cares for motherless children, orphans and children pick up in the streets that were thrown into pits and gutters after delivery. It caters for helpless widows and offering them helps and supplying them foods, cloths and other related items for their survival every Monday of the week. It holds fellowship with widows and abandoned children in the orphanage. This ministry embarks in hospital evangelism. Compassionate women outreach ministry is headed by Rev DR Mrs. Alzuriel Ononuju.

This ministry is depended on the offerings, gifts, supports, sponsorship and helps from good spirited individuals in the churches and elsewhere. The aim of this ministry is to make Mr. Nobody to become Mr. Somebody and create hope for hopeless and finally introduce the orphans, poor widows and all around the ministry to our lord and savior JESUS CHRIST. It fights to give sense of belonging and to make these children reasonable in the society and to make them to useful to God and to humanity. These children need to be trained in Nursery, primary and at least in secondary schools to know how to read and how to write and to be socially balanced. This is very necessary to the children in this orphanage and I believe the task and challenge before all of us especially the Nigeria Christians and of course the believers in Christ no matter their nation and tribe is to contribute to the moral, spiritual and educational upbringing of these children who may tomorrow become the national leaders, governors, senators, teachers, lawyers, judges, engineers and gospel preachers if we really cared. Who knew that Moses a boy pickup by the first prophet and the founder of Jewish religions? Who knew that Jephtar would be the military commander and the deliverer of Israel in times of their trouble, child of a harlot driven out of the village and rejected by his people without knowing the potentials in him? Rev Mrs. Alzuriel Ononuju the leader of this ministry is open to all both to join or to contribute.

Compassionate Women Outreach Ministry (Orphanage) is a ministry for all, accepting membership from every denomination, every tribe, every race and from all who want to be more useful in God’s hand and all who want to contribute to the physical and spiritual survival of those whom God has not approved their death for now!

It has been approved and publicly known that cash spent in saving a soul is more than great amount spent in building a mansion for personal pleasure, while the amount spent in keeping a soul is a great treasure in heaven which is for eternity.

Every believer must serve, give and live but not every believer should be on full time service in God’s business, some shall be givers and supporters of those in full time services in God’s business.

We are all called to serve  and minister, hence the soul winning business is not an optional work to any born again Christian but a MUST to all of us. The work of soul winning can be done through personal involvement of the believers or through their substitutes which are money or other supports.

Be our co-laboureres, co-fishermen, and partners in caring for the orphans, training the orphans and seeing all about the education of children without parents and children without traces of their origin and un-identification of their parents. Why not be touched?

Do you know that there are many tribes, clans and communities that have not heard about JESUS? Do you know that there are cities, nations and individuals who never understand whom JESUS is,  though they have heard of such name? do you know that some that some religions of the world know JESUS as an ordinary religious leader, prophet and as a Jewish teacher? Many are ready to go but need supporters and sponsors. The preachers and missionaries are ready for the work anywhere the call is but are waiting for sponsors to help them reach the unreached and the unchurched areas of the world.

Here we placed some options for the believers to make choices of the works they can easily do without stress. Listed below are some of the things we may desire that you help us do, nevertheless, you still have right to do what you feel even if such ones are not written here.

 VISIONS AND FUTURE PLANS OF THE COUPLE
There are visions and plans to establish many homes and other things that would help the believers and Christian communities in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. The new plans we have include the following things:

1.  To establish christen hospitals to help poor believers, orphans and the less privileged in the society, the hospitals shall treat the poor Christians and orphans free of charge.
2. To establish Christian schools that should train the orphans, fatherless and the less privileged people free of charge in order to impart Christian life in them.
3. To establish recreation centres for the Christians, where the aged Christians would be cared for, where the sorrowful, the anxious and the weak minded people would be refreshed and healed.
4. To establish Christian library for the reading pleasure of the Christians, which also shall serve as the research center for the Christians in Africa.
5. To build prayer camp with hostels, halls, flats prayer tents and big fields. This prayer tent would serve African believers in spiritual exercises.

THE AGONIES OF THE MISFORTUNED AND DOWNCAST CHILDREN IN OUR DAYS

Those outside and those far from the misfortune downcast children may not know what such children are passing through in life, neither do the outsiders understand the groaning and the agonies of the less privileged and misfortune children. These creatures of God are faced with many negative challenges in life. They are filled with fear, discouragement, restlessness, anxiety, peacelessness, negative voices and frequent doubts. They are always angry and feel cheated in life and always tempted with evil decisions like suicidal and destructive policies always. Above every other danger, listed below are among the dangers and agonies of the misfortune children.

1. Misfortune and downcast children always feel inferior as they see gap between themselves and other favoured children in the society and in the community.
2. Children with sad and unfortunate stories in life are faced with mockery from their foes, from their relations and from their neighbours who desire their death always considering them useless in life.
3. Children with sad and sorrowful stories are faced with ridicules, curses from relations and total denial of their rights, their inheritances denial of their fathers possessions in the family.
4. They are faced with cheating, negligence, abuses, expectation to die soon and different attacks that are not pleasant to souls.
5. They suffer hunger, sickness, sleepless nights, fear, anxiety and steady tension in life and at times tempted to suicidal policies and unreasonable feelings.
6. Many of the children with sad stories and unfortunate experiences die due to the inadequate attention and lack of proper medical treatment.
7. Their lives are crowded with sickness, tensions, diseases, infections, wounds and other attacks due to dirty environments where they see themselves.
8. Some of them are sold as semi slaves to the rich or to business men and women to sell fruits, iced water; groundnuts, minerals, or other petty articles to make money for their masters without attending any school even the nursery school and as a result live as illiterates throughout their lives. It is also worthy to note, that upon such hard struggles of serving their masters or mistress, that no cash even a kobo is paid to such great suffering individuals, rather the payment is made only to the middle person who connected them to their masters or mistresses, and not to the poor child or boy that bears the sufferings, why? Is this not the modern slavery in old days? This condition demands our prayers, actions and our compassions too.
9. The punishments of the orphans and less privileged children are too much in our society. There was a woman who had an orphan of ten years old as her maid, who was taken care of her two sons of six and four years of age respectively. One day this woman asked the maid orphan to bring back her two children from their school and at the same time loaded the orphan girl with heavy responsibilities of washing clothes and went to market, when the woman returned and discovered that her children were still in the school while the maid was still washing the clothes, this wicked woman picked up the girl and started beating her mercilessly, and took sharp razor blade to cut the orphan maid, and totally designed the girl with sharp razor blade that her body become blood pool, as if the girl is an animal. The girl was rushed to the hospital by good spirited individuals where she was treated and was hospitalized for two months before she could be discharged but the marks of the injuries are still on the girl who did not return to the woman’s house again till date. If this orphan were to be her child, would she treat her like that? If that ten years old girl has parents or a parent wouldn’t she have respect for her mother or father which would have made her to control her wicked action against an innocent poor girl? Is this treatment to this not because she had no helper and because she is an orphan?

 

In another occasion, there was a rich woman who also had an orphan girl of twelve years as her maid who committed the less privileged girl to her baby nurse whose duties are to take care of her babies at home without going to school. This rich lady had a new baby of eight months old that the orphan is totally caring, carrying and keeping according to the lady’s instruction. One day, the lady travelled out with her husband to return late in the evening of the same day. When they came back she met her maid cleaning the baby who has just passed an excreta (shit) on the floor, the woman took offence and became angry and commanded the maid (orphan) to use her hand to pack the shit and use her fingers to clean the dirty floor with serious beating and with rough sticks on her head and later ejected her out of the house that night without food. What wrong did this orphan girl do? What is her offence? All these punishments are they not because she has no parents? If there is a man or woman alive that the woman can fear, would she have done these?

There was an occasion where a lady with two sons of eight and six years respectively who also had an orphan of ten years, just two years age advantage over her first son. This orphan was a relation to her husband who decided not to have any problem in his house, therefore kept quiet and silent in all the happenings in his house. This lady subjected this orphan to one meal each day and that would be between 1am and 2am each day while her children must eat in the morning before going to their schools and also eat in the afternoon when they returned from their schools each day and must also eat in the night before going to their bed, but the orphan only would eat only once a day, while in the night she would subject he orphan boy to sell orange along the road and return home by ten 10pm each day only to go to bed without food, why? It is only because the orphan boy had no parents and nobody to speak on his behalf. We are calling the God of the fatherless and the God of all suffering citizens to come to the aid of the suffering infants and all the suffering children before they die through maltreatments and through the attacks of godless people.

The sufferings and bad treatments to the orphans are too much, some heartless individuals treat the orphans as goats, as animals or as flies that fell from the trees. There was a couple who took a two year orphan boy to their house and started treating this orphan as their own son, till the lord also blessed them with a son after two years. Both children started growing to the extent that the orphan did not even know that the couple was not his own biological parents, neither did their own biological son knew that. The orphan became fifteen years old, while their own child became thirteen years plus …, one day the orphan offended the woman, and the woman called the attention of that orphan and packed all the belongings of that orphan  together and said to him, “I want to tell you that I am not your biological mother, neither is my husband your real father, you are an orphan and not born in this house, this night you must leave this house and find your way. The orphan was immediately ejected irrespective of his sorrowful pleading, but no attention was given to him and he was painfully ejected out of the house he called his own. This boy wandered the streets till date and became confused in life, knowing no mother and knowing no father and knowing no relation on earth. How wicked are people. This very youth becomes confused in life and God is watching. Let us join hands together to salvage the perishing souls today.

 

REASONS AND WHY THE MISFORTUNED AND LESS PRIVILEGED CHILDREN SHOULD BE HELPED, CARED AND CATERED FOR?
There are numerous reasons and purposes why the orphans, abandoned children, the outcast and all less privileged and misfortune children should be helped and properly cared for. Many Christians do not understand their Christian obligations and responsibilities on earth. God is the owner of this world who created the rich and the poor, the sick and the healthy, who created also the sound and the deformed. God gave us great responsibilities in the lives and health and the future of the less privileged children, the orphans, the outcast, the rejected children and all the motherless babies in their villages and in some orphanage homes in our country and that is why we should be more careful in serving our God. Below are more reasons, the orphans, the abandoned children and all less privileged children should be cared for, helped and also catered for.

1. We shall cater, care, help and train the less privileged children in our society because God created them and commanded us to care and to cater for them and in obedience to God’s word, we shall do these.
2. We shall cater, help and build the misfortune children in our  and all around us because the nature persuaded us to cater for them, as it is natural for the healthy person to help the sick, so is it natural for the rich to feed the poor.
3. We are called to make them good and because they are created to be good and not created to be sick. Therefore, we are divinely called to restore them and to revive them to glory and be good.
4. Because God called us to be good to do good, to spread goodness and to exemplify all good works to the widows, to the orphans to the poor, to strangers and to all in needs. In order to represent HIS SON JESUS on earth and for eternity.
5. We shall help the poor and less privileged children including all suffering children around us because they have no helper to meet their needs and God has raised us to be their helpers, to stand as their fathers, as their mothers, as their doctors and as their closest neighbours to help them and to rescue them from such dangers.
6. We called to help them because they can’t help themselves, neither can they rescue themselves from the trap of helplessness that has gripped them and caged them. God wants us to help them because we are God’s messengers and God’s own extended hands to help and to rescue them from the chains of poverty fear and all uncertainties of life that have been their greatest foes.
7. Among other purposes and reasons why the less privileged children should be cared for and fully helped include the facts that God attached great miracles and blessings for those that helped the poor and all less privileged children. God promised great literal and eternal blessings to us.
8. We shall help and care for them in order to make them live and survive, because they are not created to die in pain and in such poor conditions, but they are created to survive and to be like others and to rejoice as they live with others.
9. Because there are rewards from God when we help the poor, the orphans and all less privileged children in the society. Our help and sponsorship to the misfortune children are direct help to God and our God shall not fail to reward His workers. There are internal, external and eternal rewards to all workers in God’s business.
10. Because JESUS CHRIST commanded us to continue with the jobs and all the businesses of great compassion to the poor and to the less privileged children with other negative stories in life.
11. We shall help the poor children with painful stories because they have no parents to occupy the vacuums and to meet their needs, thus, God committed all of them to our hands to solve their problems and to make them happy always.
12. The story of the good Samaritan tells us the necessity of building and helping the down trodden and the benefits in doing that as well. Based on that JESUS our lord commanded us to do the same, therefore we shall help, sponsor and care for the orphans, deformed children rejected children in order to make them become whom God originally created them to become in life.

 

THE STORY OF ONE THAT HELPED THE ORPHAN
There was one woman in a rural village in Imo State of Nigeria, she had no child with her husband whom she loved so much. One day both of them came across an orphan from a nearby village who also related to them, they picked up this rejected orphan who was rejected and despised by the relations of his parents. This couple picked up this six years old rejected orphan, kept him, fed him, housed him and sent him to primary school. The child was not adopted by the couple but was fully cared beyond what parents can do to their children, this boy grew and finished his primary school at the care of this couple, when God saw the love and care given to this orphan by the couple, HE (God) blessed the couple with two children, a boy and a girl that grew while the orphan was already a man of about twenty years. This orphan later, developed a good skill and learn a good craft of electrical maintenance, through which God blessed him and he became very rich, very! Very! Very! That he became a millionaire and the first millionaire in the town. When the relations who rejected him saw him as big and great, they desired to take Him back, but he insisted in building the family that built him. He built the first upstairs building for the couple, trained their two children to university levels while the couple was too old and also settled the boy with great wealth while the girl married. When the couple died, (though not the same year) he made their burials to become the greatest in the town. He made the son of the couple the second millionaire in the town while he was the first. The seed planted by the couple in the life of the orphan produced greater fruits. Who knew that the rejected six years old orphan was a millionaire, a great man and a reasonable wealthy person? Had his father’s relations known that he was a rich person in life, many orphans and other rejected children with untapped potentials and rich minerals within their bones. Let us join hands together to rescue and to build the orphans and other rejected children in our society.
